On 10 March, 1915 the 1st Bedfordshire battalion of 15 Brigade, 5th Division moved into the front line north of the canal at Ypres where they remained until relieved on 12th March. Records, including those of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission show that John Moxly was killed on 13th March but the battalion diary recorded his death on 12th March before 1st Bedfordshire were relieved. |
